Then again, "I'm a PC" (as they say) and most of these fit me.

Seems more like a generational thing than an operating system thing. Of course, Apple has captured the younger demographic anyway, so expect a correlation.

Not a perfectionist, I avoid Starbucks and don't drive a car at all. Outside of that, it fits me just about perfectly.

Hardly describes me.

The only two areas that apply to me are:

- Satisfied with their purchase (switching to Mac was the best "tech thing" I ever did)

- Perfectionist (not particularly the description in the ad but striving toward perfection in what I do)

As far as generalizations go, I'd say that's very accurate. I know a few fellow Mac users that fit that category quite well. (Though, honestly I'm ashamed to be in the same room as them).

I must not be the "typical" Mac user.  I'm not arrogant, not liberal, don't consider myself superior to the average Joe (I just use superior equipment), certainly no perfectionist (just as my friends.. lol), not green (I can go through a whole roll of paper towels in a day) and I don't buy music at all.  ROFL

Ouch, hitting pretty close to home on that description, although I'd like to see a chart like that about Linux users. My BF the Linux guy certainly knows that he's more intelligent than most...

Does anyone else find the music download statistics to be interesting?  Only 16% of PC owners pay to download music? That's just weird.  Are they not listening to digital music, or are they just not paying for it?

I'm certainly not a perfectionist, but a lot of the other descriptions are pretty darned close. It's actually a lot more accurate that I expected it to be based on my experience with these kind of articles/profiles...

apart from 'perfectionist, 'music maven', and 'satisfied with their purchase', this is not me at all.
i was reminded of this today.

i have a macbook, i'm a student. i'm doing a particular group assignment at the moment.
normally, people throw the 'oh, you use a mac' (in the same tone of voice as if to say: 'oh, you use heroin'), and then are extremely surprised when i don't react. if they push, they're even more surprised when i say something like, 'hey, if you want to use windows, i'm not forcing you to use a mac. go right ahead.'

but in my group for this assessment there are two hardcore extreme windows devotees. and the above image describes them to a t. arrogant, superior, not modest, etc. i'm sick of being labelled as being this. because my impression is that this is the attitude some windows users seem to have to make up for the fact that they've made a poor purchase and are trying to justify it somehow.

my two cents on the matter

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me

Oh my god :

• I am liberal, and avoid any kind of guidance (especially religious)
• I don't shout it from the rooftops, so I'm not really arrogant. But I do feel superior to a lot of people.
• Then again, I'm not modest.
• I'm open-minded, I love Starbucks and drive a T. Prius.
• I think "green" in some ways. I drive an hybrid car and use a heat pump and a pellet stove for my house.
• I am a perfectionist and can't let anyone finish a work for me, I don't trust people and facts showed that I was right in most cases.
• When I buy something, I want to be satisfied. Why would I buy it for if not? Some people don't really care about it. I don't really care about those people.
• I play the guitar, listen to music on my computer, buy CDs in shops and tracks online.

I guess it fits well, very well. Is it serious, Doctor?
