The nanoBundle 2 Charity Split (where you guys sent your money)

1509 posts

Hey everyone! Reporting back here to share details on how the charity portion of the recent MacHeist nanoBundle event went. Here's how you guys decided to split your donations to our partnering charities this year:

(Note: Close to half of you guys decided to split your $5 donation evenly. These donations are already factored in the list below.)

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund: $55,565
Save the Children: $50,360
World Wildlife Fund: $50,160
Prevent Cancer Foundation: $47,725
AIDS Research Alliance: $41,435
The Nature Conservancy: $38,460
Direct Relief International: $34,530
Humane Society International: $33,525
Action Against Hunger: $33,020
Save Darfur: $29,865
Alliance for Climate Protection: $25,355

Total: $440,000

Months after you've purchased your bundle, your money will be slowly but efficiently used to help brighten the world, thanks to your participation and the hard work of our partnering charities. smile

For past reference/comparison:

Charity Breakdown (MacHeist 1)
*There was also the MacHeist 2 'retail' bundle which netted over $50,000 in additional donations

There may be only one thing even more incredible than this achievement by the MacHeist community: including this event's haul, we have now raised over 2 million dollars for some truly worthwhile efforts since MacHeist 1. So thank you everyone for making this awesome accomplishment possible!

Glad to help.  This is awesome and worthwhile even though I hardly ever use any of the programs...  It's just cool to do...

I'm glad to have participated. It was my first MacHeist, and I really wish I'd had the good timing to participate in earlier ones. As I said on Facebook, if I ever actually finish a piece of software, I'd be honored to participate in it from the other side.

Good job, guys!

Excellent! Nice to see that the nanoBundle will be benefitting the world significantly in so many other ways besides just the worthy cause of providing great software to mac users.

Keep up the great work MacHeist!!
