The Front • Do you smell skunk?
Well originally this post was about 'something', but the 'something' said to not talk about it (not sure if thats part of the roleplaying lol). What it was (vaguely)was an email relating to macheist, possibly a heist 6.5?
Edit: Its all cleared up now. Nothing to see here ![]()
EDIT BY THE DIRECTORATE: For newcomers who are confused, we encourage you to check out the wiki for more info on the skunk works project.
Han shot first.
Who specifically was the email from?

Han shot first.
It was from us.
Apcs, can you hit me up on AIM under phillryu.
Alright, Its all cleared up now. It was for testing purposes and it'll be opened up soon to the rest of you, the operatives. Keep it secret. We cant have any leaks or moles.

I bought a bundle but didn't get an email....

At first I was wondering if you were talking about "TheMacPak" bundle, but this, I see, is another beastie entirely...
I wonder if perhaps Lisa was in on this. If there's anyone who I'd suspect of such a dastardly deed, it would be her...

She's claimed innocence already, but we'll see. This is too big for her to have played part I think.
I haven't gotten anything yet...makes me feel left out.
Never mind, I got it.

All active Heist members will get an email by the end of the day. Don't worry about it.
She may not be the principal ringleader but I'm willing to bet she's got a hand in whatever this puzzle turns out to be.

I would call it more of a takedown than a puzzle.
We don't mess around with people that screw us over.
So the Directorate and the Heisters are here to thrown down, huh? Sweet.

We are now processing your application. If everything checks out, expect an email from the directorate once you as a group find the key...
Hmm. So we find the key, get the email from the Directorate, then lay the smack down on these impostors.
So...any ideas on how to find the key?

has anyone gotten through the sekr3t registration process yet? I'm getting something that looks suspiciously like a broken system, rather than a clue...but one never knows...
Update: never mind, it was a bug of sorts...always try multiple browsers in the land of MacHeist, I suppose.

The classic Quartz Composer-based website webcam prank (used here) breaks in Camino 1.5 - it crashes it without fail; works fine in Safari 2 though.

I've noticed that if you stare at the code long enough, a white number 9 travels across the screen. I didn't tell you anything.
so you figured it out then? cause the only time a white 9 travels is when i hit the number 9 on the page, as well as any of the other buttons.... maybe you know more than me

Feh. Must be the bunch of InputManager/SIMBL hacks I've loaded onto Camino then.
And even though I remembered this trick, seeing my ugly mug on my screen still jolted me out of my chair. ![]()
